What’s Covered
This warranty covers all workmanship-related issues resulting from installation errors in cabinetry, including kitchen cabinets, vanities, built-ins, and storage units. This includes improper leveling or securing of cabinets, misaligned doors or drawers, uneven gaps, and incorrect installation of hardware such as hinges, handles, and slides. It also covers issues caused by inadequate fastening to walls or framing, resulting in movement, looseness, or sagging over time. Any operational problems—such as drawers not sliding smoothly or doors not closing properly—will be corrected at no charge when they are directly caused by installation workmanship.
What’s Not Covered
This warranty does not cover product defects or material-related issues such as warping, cracking, finish imperfections, colour variations, or manufacturer hardware failures. It also excludes damage caused by heavy impact, water exposure, humidity fluctuations, or misuse such as overloading shelves or slamming doors. Normal wear and tear—including minor finish wear, hinge adjustment needs over time, or loosening handles—is not covered. Problems resulting from pre-existing structural issues, uneven walls or floors, plumbing leaks, or alterations performed by other trades or the homeowner are excluded. Any limitations or failures caused by owner-supplied cabinetry or hardware that is mis-sized, low-quality, or defective fall outside the scope of this warranty.
What’s Covered
This warranty covers all workmanship-related issues resulting from installation errors in deck construction, including composite decking, wood decking, railings, stairs, footings, and structural framing. This includes improper fastening, uneven or loose boards, misaligned railings or stair components, framing or posts that are not properly secured, and footings that were not installed to the agreed specifications. It also covers movement, rocking, or instability directly caused by workmanship, as well as premature board lift, excessive squeaking, or unsafe railing conditions when they result from installation technique. Any adjustments or repairs required due to workmanship deficiencies will be completed at no charge.
What’s Not Covered
This warranty does not cover material-related issues such as warping, cracking, checking, fading, swelling, cupping, or colour variation in wood or composite boards. Decking products naturally respond to weather, UV exposure, moisture, and temperature swings; such changes are not considered defects. Structural movement caused by soil shifting, frost heave, water runoff, or inadequate site conditions is also excluded. For floating decks, any movement or settling of the structure due to seasonal ground shift or soil conditions is not covered, as floating decks are not fixed to deep footings. For attached decks, movement caused by the existing house structure, ledger rot, or pre-existing moisture problems is excluded. Damage caused by impacts, heavy loads, improper use, outdoor furniture, BBQ heat, pets, or other trades is not covered. Normal wear and tear—including surface fading, minor board movement, hairline cracks, fastener oxidation, or railings loosening over time—is excluded. Any failures related to owner-supplied materials, homeowner modifications, or code-compliance issues that were not part of the original agreed scope are also not covered.
What’s Covered
This warranty covers all workmanship-related issues resulting from installation or finishing errors in drywall taping and painting, when those issues are clearly noticeable from six feet away under normal lighting conditions. This includes improper mud application, poorly blended joints, visible seams caused by finishing errors, screw pops resulting from incorrect installation, and texture or surface inconsistencies created during the taping process. For painting, coverage includes adhesion issues caused by inadequate surface preparation, uneven coverage, roller or brush marks, visible streaking, or peeling that results directly from application errors. Any repairs required due to workmanship deficiencies will be completed at no charge.
What’s Not Covered
This warranty does not cover minor imperfections that are not visible from six feet away under normal lighting. It also does not cover issues caused by structural movement, humidity swings, or natural settling of the home, including small cracks, shrinkage cracks, or nail pops that occur over time. Damage caused by impacts, furniture, hanging items, moisture, household cleaners, or work performed by other trades is excluded. Pre-existing surface conditions—such as damaged drywall, contaminants, or stains—are not covered unless specifically included in the original scope. Normal wear and tear, scuffs, chips, fading, or marks from daily living are excluded, as are any failures related to owner-supplied materials or paint products.
